In mid-April next year, the fantasy horror Antlers arrives in theaters, which, judging by the trailers, will fully justify its horror genre.
It’s an adaptation of Nick Antosco’s short story “The Quiet Boy” about a small-town Oregon teacher (Keri Russell) and her brother (Jesse Plemons), the local sheriff, discover that a young student (Jeremy T. Thomas) is harboring a dangerous secret with frightening consequences.
The horror is directed by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart) and stars Keri Russell (The Americans) as teacher Julia Meadows, Jesse Plemons (Friday Night Lights) as her brother Paul Meadows, and Jeremy T. Thomas (Lore) as the boy boy Lucas Weaver . Other roles include Graham Greene (Dances With Wolves), Rory Cochrane (CSI: Miami), Amy Madigan (Field of Dreams) and Scott Haze (Venom). The production is signed by another famous name, Guillermo del Toro.
