The first teaser trailer for The Haunting of Bly Manor has arrived, a new chapter with a new ghost story in the anthology series The Haunting, whose Hill House won viewers, critics, and even horror king Stephen King who rated it great.
The plot in the new season is based in part on the psychological gothic horror novel “The Turn of the Screw” by Henry James, and takes place around Bly Manor and the lives of its occupants – the living but also the dead.
Set in England in the 1980s, the focus is on Dani Clayton (played by Victoria Pedretti) who was hired by Henry Wingrave (Henry Thomas) to care for his nephews after the death of their parents, in the isolated villa of Bly Manor. But not everything in the villa is as it seems at first, centuries of dark secrets of love and loss are waiting to be revealed
The creator and director of the series, Mike Flanagan, managed to make the story of the family moving into the house of ghosts original with Hill House, so we believe that the sequel in the anthology will be just as good. In addition to Victoria Pedretti, whom we watched in The Haunting of Hill House, Henry Thomas, Kate Siegal and Oliver Jackson-Cohen are also returning in new roles.
The Haunting of Bly Manor on Netflix arrives on October 9th.
