Zack Snyder has mixed all the elements of heist movies with the good elements of horror movies. In addition, it looks visually pleasing and the visual effects are good as well.

The film takes place in Nebraska, in the year 1922. Wilfred and Arlette James, together with their adolescent son Henry, receive property from Arlette’s father. After a while, Arlette decides she would like to sell the farm and go to the city, as farming is not her cup of tea. Wilfred, on the other hand, is dead set on staying and will go to any length to see that this happens.
The film is based on the book 1922 by Stephen King and has a very interesting storyline. The performances by all the actors are very impactful. The movie has a very unique visual style which enhances the overall experience.
Apostle (2018)

Apostle is another horror movie produced and released by Netflix in the year 2018. The film is directed by Gareth Evans.
It is set in the year 1905. After his sister is kidnapped by a mysterious religious cult demanding payment for her safe return, Thomas Richardson journeys to a secluded island to rescue her. As he delves deeper into the secrets and deception upon which the commune is founded, it becomes obvious that the cult will regret the day it ever targeted this guy.
Apostle features Dan Stevens, Catrin Aaron, and Richard Elfyn. The film has a very engaging storyline with a good pace. Dan Stevens never disappoints with his acting. He convincingly plays the role of a motivated yet heartbroken brother.
Hush (2016)

Hush revolves around a successful deaf-mute author who decides to live her life alone in the woods. However, when a masked killer appears at her window, she must now fight for her life… in silence. It is directed by Mike Flanagan and stars Kate Siegel and Micheal Gallagher.

But as tensions rise in their uneasy relationship, we find that the real terror may actually be inside.
The film stars Joel Edgerton, Christopher Abbott, and Carmen Ejogo. It Comes At Night approaches the post-apocalyptic genre in a very grounded and gruesome way. The film is disturbing at times but that’s the beauty of it. The film takes advantage of shadows, darkness, and a suspenseful premise to create an exciting thriller that does not require much effort to be interesting. The Ring (2002)

The story of this film revolves around Steven, a talented surgeon. After his life begins to fall apart, Steven is forced to make an unfathomable sacrifice when the behavior of a teenage kid he has taken under his wing becomes deadly. The Killing of a Sacred Deer is a very disturbing thriller. The director establishes the tone of the film from the very first shot and uses music to enhance the disturbing atmosphere established throughout the movie.

The Conjuring (2013)
